Drypoint & Chine Collé   (Beginners/Refreshers)

£95.00

Drypoint is an intaglio form of printmaking. Using tools like a drypoint needle marks are scratched onto a plate to create an image. Drypoint relies not only on the groove provided by the needle but also on the burr of material made when scratching the surface of the plate creating a line with a soft velvety character when printed. On this one day course you will learn how to make marks using a variety of tools, how to ink up and print your plate and add colour using chine collé to your prints without making a separate block. By the end of the day you will have a small edition of prints to take home
