Mono Screenprinting

£195.00

Explore colour, shape and texture through the process of mono-screen printing with artist Rosalind Lawless.
You will explore methods of applying colour to screens using a variety of tools and brushes to build up textural, painterly compositions.
Your tutor will guide you through the whole process of mono-screenprinting techniques and demonstrate different ways to achieve painterly marks, textural effects and colour placement with hand-cut stencils.
This is an experimental, intuitive approach to screen-printing which offers exciting and interesting results without the need to pre-plan or design artwork. You will leave with a small collection of unique, abstract screen-prints to take home.
This course is particularly suitable for those interested in approaching printmaking with an emphasis on drawing and painting, taking inspiration  through a hands-on approach to screenprinting.
Previous screenprinting experience is necessary for taking part in this class.
