Text and Print (1 Day)
£100.00
This course will explore the combination of text and image within Print processes.
We will explore the sequential rhythms of the way we look, the conceptual leaps we make between words and image, and the use of juxtaposition to construct and reconfigure meaning.
With ekphrastic writing prompts and ideas from concrete poetry we will explore images that inspire writing, writing that inspires images, and create work that combines the two.
We will work with drawing and collage and take our text and images into Monotype and Cyanotype print processes.
Formats will include simple folded zine structures and unique prints. The emphasis is on experimentation.
