Fortrose Academy – Dementia Friendly Community

Congratulations to Fortrose Academy who on 15 June 2017 became the first school in Ross-shire to be recognised  for their involvement with Alzheimer Scotland’s Dementia Friendly Communities Project. Read more about Highland Print Studio’s recent work with young people from Black Isle Youth Development Group, who have produced black and white portraits of attendees at the Dementia Cafe (D-Caff) in Avoch.

The Arts Society – Screenprinting workshop

We had a Screenprinting class on February 2017, organised by The Arts Society, which is an annual event for High School seniors looking to expand their portfolio for their applications for Art Universities. The students enjoyed themselves and created wonderful prints for their portfolios.

Studio’s new addition

The new addition to the printmaking studio family, a screw press from Mr Colin Munro at HRI Architects. The press is originally from Carrels Keith & Co Stationers, Inverness. It is now in the Studio, being used to create lovely wood engraving and linocut prints.
