Highland Print Studio is a registered charity and we spend time fundraising to support our work with schools and community groups both in Inverness and across the Highlands.
Some of our projects have involved working with partners, including other arts organisations, but we’ve also partnered with groups in fields such as sport, science, healthcare, education and the environment.
We’re committed to providing opportunities for people to get more creative and it’s rewarding and inspiring to see what can be achieved through these collaborations.

DONATESo You Think You’re a Wise Guy?
Highland Print Studio is excited to announce the re-launch of our popular initiative WISE GUYS, a creative project supported by Highland Council Inverness Central Ward Discretionary Fund, designed specifically for men aged 60 and above. This unique initiative invites participants with no previous arts experience to explore the world of printmaking in a welcoming and supportive environment.
Through a series of hands-on workshops/classes, WISE GUYS offers participants the opportunity to engage in creative expression, develop new skills, and connect with others in their community. The project seeks to break down barriers to creativity and foster a sense of achievement, confidence, and connection through creativity and printmaking.

Highland Print Studio: Shapechangers
Throughout November 2023, a remarkable series of temporary outdoor artworks created by young people was unveiled along the National Cycle Network in Scotland. ‘ShapeChangers’ aimed to empower young people and inspire residents of Glasgow, Alloa, Greenock and Inverness to explore their local areas by walking, wheeling, and cycling on the National Cycle Network. This was how Sustrans Scotland introduced their flagship arts project of 2023, with Highland Print Studio being one of four organisations chosen to work with young people to create substantial artworks for the network. The principle behind the project was to allow the young people to learn all aspects involved in creating a public artwork. So not just designing and carrying out the artwork, but community consultation, site requirements along with health & safety, budgets and material choices.
Highland Print Studio/Highland Culture Collective
In 2022, the Highland Print Studio hosted an artist in residence, one of five residencies that took place across highland, which were part of the Highland Culture Collective, a Creative Scotland funded project.
Our artist in residence was a photographer, Evija Laivina, who was with us until September 2022, working with community partners to deliver photography workshops.
